Today at the MLS meeting, we had two speakers from the County of Santa Barbara come and give some much needed understanding and clarity about how the new ADU (accessory dwelling unit) ordinance is going to work when it becomes effective later this month. Tomorrow I'll launch into an overview of that and give you some helpful links to make your own headway into figuring out if adding a ADU to your property will work for your needs or plans.
