Well, the proposed annexation, making the city of Solvang larger by expanding the foot print, certainly went down in flames. The article from the SYV News tells about the meeting a few days ago. Click here. As many have said, why does the city need to get bigger? My first thought is always water. Where would the extra city water come from?  But all the worries came to an end when the expansion was voted down unamimously. Its the weekend! Click here for the open houses for Saturday and Sunday and wow, there are a lot of them. I hope the weather lifts before then. Then again, a lot of people don't have anything else to do on a rainy day. Some of my best open houses have been on rainy days which equalled big turn outs.
