Snow in Los Olivos today! This winter has been full of surprises.
Bringing Nina Stormo's inside track with development around the valley for your reading pleasure, here is her installment today on what is happening in the most happening city of Buellton:
The Commons, located between Firestone and the Hampton Inn Hotel in Buellton, has received entitlements (essentially, the property owner has received approval or conditional approval on their project). The project design is for over 50,000 square feet of commercial space including retail, restaurant and wine tasting, though the city is still awaiting building plan submittal. The land and entitlements are currently listed for $4,195,000.
-The Village Hotel Project has received entitlements for two hotels, one boutique hotel and one branded hotel. The project is located between McMurray Road and Valley Vineyard Circle. The branded hotel has not yet been selected but each hotel will contain 107 rooms totaling 214 rooms, a meeting room, pool and event area.
A mixed use project has been approved on the corner of Avenue of the Flags and 2nd Street in Buellton. The project will consist of retail, showroom space and office space. You may have noticed the tall layout stakes showing the height of the project. Things seem to be underway. This is the first approved project in the Avenue of the Flags specific plan. The City of Buellton is aiming for an Art Deco style for this building.
Live Oak Lanes is one we've all been wanting to hear about! It's the proposed bowling alley located at 290 E Hwy 246. The city currently does not have a time frame on this project and is still awaiting building plans. I will keep you posted as I hear.
