A reader sent the link to this local real estate scam bust. Click here for the Noozhawk article. The perpetrators were from Santa Barbara but the scam was nationwide. I read this article thinking the whole time .... why would anyone believe such a garbage sales pitch? If its too good to be true, it probably is. None of my readers would fall prey to this sort of flim flammery because you are all pretty astute people but I feel terrible for the less informed out there that placed their hopes and dreams on this flimsy premise. If the victims had just called a real estate professional, they would have steered them away from these scammers. There are so many bad people out there. High integrity is a standard everyone in the real estate industry is held to. I'm glad these two are getting their comeuppance. If anyone out there is curious about which homes actually are on the preforeclosure or foreclosure list, just let me know. I pay to belong to a service that provides all the real, accurate, true info. I used to provide this information via email to Daily Insiders but the list has been so short for the last few years that I stopped doing it. If you are ever curious about a property in our county that is reported to be in distress, just ask me. I promise you won't have to buy a list.

1318 Cheyenne, Santa Ynez (3/2 on .24 of an acre) 765K I remember this home from when it sold last year. I showed it a bunch of times. I liked how bright it is and the flow of the floor plan. Definitely not your basic "here's the hallway, here's the bedrooms" type floor plan. This one is unique but the flow is still good and the spaces feeling larger than 1546 square feet. Remodeled bathrooms, some new flooring, pool with a pretty yard front and back, highly desirable location.

264 3rd St., Solvang (3/3 on .27 of an acre)  Was 675K with a new price of 649K. One of the cutest most well done vintage bungalows I have seen. Adorable with a simply smashing outdoor entertaining area. Just a few blocks to the downtown area though on a quiet street. Really a special property. See it.
