We had to buy new tires for my 18 year old daughters Ford F150 truck today. If you have ever bought truck tires, you know how painful that is. Truck tires are expensive but its my daughter and I want her to be safe so we bit the bullet and decided to buy them before her present tires became dangerous. Naturally she wanted the biggest, baddest looking tires she could get. :) We didn't even think twice where to go. We went right over to Steve's Wheel and Tire in Buellton (click here for their website). Their crew has helped us so many times over the years from new tires to flats to whatever. We pull in and their guys get right to work getting us back on the road asap. That do that for everyone, every time. I was sad to hear from Steve's that a lot of people don't buy tires locally any more but instead go to Costco and buy tires at a discount. That's cool and all but I'll take this opportunity to remind everyone that if we don't support local businesses, they won't be there when we need them most. Steve's isn't just there for emergencies. You should buy your tires there too. They really care about each and every customer and they remember us too! Most importantly, they help you make wise decisions about what to buy and provide excellent service and accountability after the sale. I never have to worry about my daughter driving around, or me either, because the crew at Steve's always has my back. We received fair pricing on our tires today, balanced to perfection and we kept a store full of guys working in the process. Did we pay more than we would have at Costco? Sure, probably. Do I care about spending an extra $100? No because you have to support local business if you want them to be there for you later. A world full of Costco's doesn't look very appealing to me. Can you pull up to Costco and say you have a flat and have someone fix it on the spot? No but you might get an appointment for next Wednesday. I encourage anyone out there thinking about tires to make it a point of stopping in at Steve's Wheel and Tire and tell them I sent you. They are a super great bunch of guys who will go the extra mile to make you a satisfied customer too. Support local business, yes even tires!
